Format & Scientific Topics:
This is a small group, highly-interactive meeting with short oral presentations and extensive discussion. The purpose is to share state-of-the-art techniques and ideas for analysis of pharmacogenetic/genomic data. Volunteer presenters are invited to submit their name, affiliation, and title for their presentation by November 15, 2007. Depending upon the number of submissions, each participant will have either an oral or poster presentation, with talks from 15-30 minutes followed by group discussions.
Participation by all PGRN groups and affiliates is encouraged.
Topics include but are not limited to:
Population admixture
Expression phenotypes vs genomics
Genome wide association analyses (GWA)
Validation and meta (combined) analysis for GWA
Bayesian approaches to model selection and False Discovery Rate
Pharmacogenetics in clinical trials
SNP array normalization for inference of copy alterations and other genomic lesions
Inference of shared genomic lesions in GWA
2008 Genetic Analysis Workshop (GAW) preparation
